The type of service for any given appointment will be based on an individual client’s needs and may include any of the following:
The most popular type of massage to aid in relaxation and the release of tension in the superficial layers of muscle. A variety of strokes are used to increase circulation and flexibility and reduce overall stress.
Similar to Swedish massage, but with firmer pressure applied. This type is ideal for affecting the deepest layers of muscle tissue and releasing chronic pain and tension patterns. Typically slow, firm strokes are used.
An effective soft tissue therapy used to address specific issues, this modality balances the nervous system with the muscular and skeletal systems and helps to naturally bring the body back into alignment. It addresses postural and muscular imbalances, nerve entrapment, ischemia (reduced blood flow to an area of the body) and muscular trigger points. Neuromuscular therapy, or NMT, can be great for injury and/or accident recovery.
A hands-on energetic therapy based on the Yogic view of our subtle anatomy. Most clients liken this experience to receiving a Reiki treatment.
A protocol used for those who are pregnant and in their 2nd or 3rd trimester. Lots of fluffy pillows are used to create a comfortable side-lying massage experience. This is an ideal position to work the lower back, hips, and legs.
This style utilizes a wide range of techniques and is tailored towards a client’s specific physical activities. It can be used to prepare for, or recover from, an athletic event. It is also useful to maintain optimal condition to aid in athletic performance.
